Generator Cabinet

My generator is noisy. This box should help keep it quiet. It is also made to look like a crate that would store wild beasts.

  1. Which way do you have the fan going (pulling fresh air in or pushing the hot air out)?

    1. The fan blows out, because the exhaust from the engine blows on it. The air flow direction should provide clean air at the air filter.

  2. Was the sound from the Generator less? Did your Generator work fine with this set up?

    1. It was a few dB lower. It was noticeable but not amazing. The generator still works fine. For extended run times I leave the top open so that it doesn't build up too much heat inside.

I think if I did it over again I would make it larger and folding, with more room for insulation.

  3. This implies generators are never sheltered to utilize inside, including within open carports, and that amid task they ought to be situated as a long way from private units or structures as could be allowed.top generator review
